Privacy policy
How information is handled.
Information about inquiries, website use and your choices when contacting GRANDWIN.
1. Scope
This policy describes how personal information is handled in connection with the GRANDWIN website and its contact channels. The website presents the services of Grandwin International Patent & Trademark Office and Grandwin Technology Consultants Co., Ltd. Inquiries are handled by the unit that receives them and, where necessary, passed between these units to the extent needed to deal with the inquiry. Information required for a formal engagement, and any additional notices, will depend on the particular service.
2. Information You Provide and How It Is Used
When you contact us by email, LINE or telephone, you may provide your name, organization, position, contact details, inquiry and related documents. We handle this information to respond to inquiries, provide consultation, assess and arrange cooperation, handle contract-related matters, and carry out necessary client management and legal compliance.
Please avoid sending identity documents, unrelated third-party personal information or complete unpublished technical files in an initial inquiry. Confirm the appropriate scope and transmission method before sharing confidential material. An initial inquiry does not by itself create an engagement or confidentiality relationship.
3. Browsing Records and Website Technologies
Hosting and maintenance providers may process connection information, such as IP addresses, access times, requested pages and device or browser information, for connectivity, security and troubleshooting.
This website uses third-party services such as Google Analytics to analyze browsing and interaction and to improve content and user experience. These services may use cookies and similar technologies to process pages viewed, interaction events, and device and browser information. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The website also uses Google Fonts; when fonts load, your browser may connect to Google servers and send the IP address and other information needed for the request. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
4. Retention, Location, Recipients and Methods of Handling
Information is retained for as long as needed for responding to inquiries, assessing cooperation, providing engaged services and meeting legal requirements. Retention periods vary by type of information. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted, its use is stopped or it is otherwise handled appropriately, in accordance with applicable requirements and actual operations.
Information may be handled, electronically or on paper, by the relevant GRANDWIN unit, personnel involved in handling it, and hosting, email or maintenance providers, to the extent needed. If an overseas associate needs information for a particular engagement, that arrangement will be explained in connection with the matter. Browsing the website does not itself cause your inquiry to be shared with all associates. Servers, backups and related services may be located in Taiwan or overseas, and third-party services handle information under their own privacy policies.
5. Third-Party Services and External Links
LINE, email and Google Maps involve third-party services. When you open an external link or load embedded content, the provider may process connection or usage information under its own policies. Please also consult the relevant provider’s privacy policy. You may choose another contact method instead of opening a third-party service.
6. Your Choices and Rights
You may request access to, a copy of, correction or supplementation of your personal information, or ask us to cease collection, processing or use, or delete it. We will handle requests in accordance with the law. We may need to verify your identity, and we will explain our reasons where the law does not permit disclosure, requires retention, or otherwise imposes restrictions.
You may choose not to provide personal information, but if information needed to respond or perform the requested work is missing, we may be unable to provide a complete response or service. Contact information is not required merely to browse public content.
7. Data Protection and Policy Updates
We apply appropriate access management and security measures according to the nature of the information and operational needs. Changes to this policy will be posted on this page with the update date. An update does not retrospectively expand previously disclosed purposes.
